We really, really want you to have a heart rate monitor. Specifically a Polar H7 or H10 because that's what's compatible with the software we use to keep an eye on everyone's heart rate during sessions. We've noticed that those who monitor how hard their heart is working almost always get better results. Think about it: Your heart is a muscle, so training without a heart rate monitor is kind of like lifting without counting reps. Will you still achieve something? Sure. Will it be as effective? Hard nope. Real-time biofeedback prevents under- and over-training and creates a log of your progress over time. We're so adamant about the value of this tool that we don't even care if you buy it from us. Semi-Private Training and Private Training Memberships are billed in 4 week instalments. To calculate the pre-tax price of your instalments, multiply the per session rate for your preferred contract (1, 3, or 12 months) by the number of sessions you're committed to attending each week. Not sure how many sessions to choose? Here are some guidelines:
1 session a week: If you're happy where you're at but want a hand with maintaining it, or want to ease in.
2 sessions a week: If you need a little extra encouragement to stay motivated.
3 sessions a week: If you want to see faster results.
4 sessions a week: If you're preparing for an event (maybe you have an athletic try-out, or maybe you just want to look and feel great for a special day).
5 sessions a week: If you're hardcore.
Can't come in for awhile? Give us 7 days' notice for planned absences (or as much notice as possible when "life happens"), and we'll put your billing cycle on hold. It's that easy.
